 COVID-19 POLICIES

ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE VACCINATED FOR COVID-19

Jamaica has carefully developed an extensive suite of measures to ensure the highest levels of health safety for visitors, tourism workers and local communities. Led by the formation of tourism "Resilient Corridors" that are governed by a strictly enforced set of protocols and standards for the tourism sector, along with other risk management initiatives, visitors can relax and enjoy the many treats that the island has to offer.

Prior to arrival into Jamaica, competitors will need to fill out a Travel Authorization form which can be found here: https://www.visitjamaica.com/travelauthorization/tas/

On arrival, travelers will undergo a health screening and risk assessment and may still be required to be tested, if, for example, they are exhibiting symptoms despite presenting a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate. In this case, travelers would await their test result at the Montego Bay Yacht Club.

If the test is negative, they would leave the confines of Montego Bay Yacht Club and continue their stay in Jamaica under the “Stay in Resilient Corridor” control measure.

If the result of the test is positive, they would be isolated either at the hotel/resort or in a government facility as determined by the health authorities.

Competitors not required to be tested on arrival will be allowed to go to their hotel/resort under the “Stay in Resilient Corridor” control measure.

MONTEGO BAY YACHT CLUB DOCKAGE

The Montego Bay Yacht Club welcomes all competing yachts to moor at the Yacht Club docks during their stay in Jamaica. The Club is located on the Freeport Peninsula, with dockage in the protected basin that forms the Montego Bay Harbour. There is enough water depth for all competing yachts. Yachts are berthed stern-to using their own anchors.

Accomodation

For the protection of locals and visitors alike, Jamaica has created Resilient Corridors to encourage safe tourism practices through the strict delivery of service that conform to a rigorous set of COVID-19 protocols and approved by the The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Within the resilient corridor, the tourism service delivery operators permitted to accept guests have been inspected and are compliant with the required standards of training, protective equipment and processes. All employees and patrons of these facilities are required to observe the established protocols of hand hygiene, social/physical distancing and wearing of masks in public spaces.

Effective July 1, 2021, JTB licensed accommodations and attractions that are certified as COVID-19 protocol compliant but are not located within the resilient corridors, may also accept guests.

Yachts may lower their “Q” flags after handing over their entry documents to the Boarding Officer at Montego Bay Yacht Club if free of all sickness.
